And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

1). Richard Elliott Friedman, Commentary on the Torah: The word in Hebrew consonants is pr’h, a pun on the word “Pharaoh”. Aaron has “Pharaohed” the people; he has done something to them that Pharaohs had done: made them ignoble in the eyes of those who oppose them. Or one could say that he has brought them back to the condition in which they were before the Sinai revelation: in disarray without the law.
