For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

1. “For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.”

a. For [Strong: 3588 kîy, kee; a primitive particle (the full form of the prepositional prefix) indicating causal relations of all kinds, antecedent or consequent; (by implication) very widely used as a relative conjunction or adverb (as below); often largely modified by other particles annexed:—and, (forasmuch, inasmuch, where-) as, assured(-ly), but, certainly, doubtless, else, even, except, for, how, (because, in, so, than) that, nevertheless, now, rightly, seeing, since, surely, then, therefore, (al-) though, till, truly, until, when, whether, while, whom, yea, yet.]

1). And over growth of thorns indicates laziness, neglect and disobedience that will choke the life of God out of our lives.

a). Numbers 33:50-56 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

33:51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;

33:52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:

33:53 And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
