For while they be folden together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.

1). And over growth of thorns indicates laziness, neglect and disobedience that will choke the life of God out of our lives.
a). Numbers 33:50-56 And the Lord spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,
