I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

1. “I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.”

1). In Isaiah 50:1 God declares that it is because of their own sin that they are separated from God, it is for their own sin that Israel has been put away. In Isaiah 50:2, 3 God declares that because He is the Omnipotent God He is more than able to deliver Israel.
