There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.

1). It must be said here that most of the instances where a trumpet is mentioned as sounding, it is man sounding the trumpet. There are a few instances though where it is not man sounding the trumpet but either God or His angels. Here while Israel was at Sinai receiving the Law, it was angels.
