Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

1. “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant…”

2. “...then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:”

1). Malachi 3:16-18 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

2). In Malachi 3:18 there is a  probable reference to judging the world.

a). Malachi 3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

b). Matthew 12:41, 42 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

c). 1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3). The English word “peculiar” is also used in 1Peter to describe us, but the greek meaning is different. It amplifies our being a purchased redemption.

a). 1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

b). peculiar [Strong: 4047 peripoíēsis, per-ee-poy'-ay-sis; from G4046; acquisition (the act or the thing); by extension, preservation:—obtain(-ing), peculiar, purchased, possession, saving.]

c. [unto] me [Strong: 589 ʼănîy, an-ee'; contracted from H595; I:—I, (as for) me, mine, myself, we, × which, × who.]
