Isaiah 65:1
I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.

1). Paul applies Isaiah 65:1 to the calling of the Gentiles cited in Romans 10:20. For context purposes I have put verses Romans 10:18-21.
a). Romans 10:18-21 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
10:19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
10:20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
10:21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
2). Victor Buksbazen, Isaiah Commentary: The question arises who are they who did not seek Jehovah and yet found Him? The majority of Jewish commentators are of the opinion that God addresses Himself to the same people, that is the Jews, in both verses Isaiah 65:1, 2. On the other hand Christian commentators usually apply Isaiah 65:1 to the Gentiles and isaiah 65:2 to the jews, which seems to be the meaning.
3). The Apostle Peter, in the second chapter of his first epistle, though citing Hosea and not Isaiah, addresses the same sentiment.
a). 1 Peter 2:9, 10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
b). Hosea 1:9, 10 Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
1:9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.
1:10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.
4). As the Apostle Paul writes in a number of Epistles, but here one will be enough.
a). Ephesians 2:11-15 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
