And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

1). The beginning verses of Daniel 8 gives us a prophecy of the Media-Persian empire, and the rise of the Grecian Empire under Alexander the Great. The prophecy also in one school of thought gives the identity of the geographical area where the anti-christ will come from.
