And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

1). This smoke is the shekinah glory of God.

a), And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof  ascended as the smoke  of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

b). Isaiah 4:5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke  by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

c). 1 Kings 8:10, 11 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord,

8:11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.

17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

17:6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
