For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

1. “For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee…”

2). Victor Buksbazen, The Prophet Isaiah: Israel in her redeemed state and splendor is figuratively called, “The Bride of God,” just as the New Jerusalem is referred to in Revelation 21:2 and 22:17 as “The Bride of Christ, beloved and precious to the LORD.”

3). Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

[so shall thy] God [Strong: 430 'elohiym el-o-heem' plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.]

f. rejoice [Strong: 7797 suws soos or siys {sece}; a primitive root; to be bright, i.e. cheerful:--be glad, X greatly, joy, make mirth, rejoice.]
