Galatians 5:6

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

a. NLT: For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

b. NIV: For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

c. YLT: for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith through love working.

1. “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision…”

c. which worketh [1754 * energeo] [Strong: from 1756; to be active, efficient:--do, (be) effectual (fervent), be mighty in, shew forth self, work (effectually in).]

In composition it retains the same general importance.]

e. love [26 * agape] [Strong: from 25; love, i.e. affection or benevolence; specially (plural) a love-feast:--(feast of) charity(-ably), dear, love.]
