1 Timothy 2:9

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

1. “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel…”

a. [In] like manner [Strong: 5615  hōsaútōs, ho-sow'-toce; from G5613 and an adverb from G846; as thus, i.e. in the same way:—even so, likewise, after the same (in like) manner.]

2.  “...with shamefacedness and sobriety…”

a. with [Strong: 3326 metá, met-ah'; a primary preposition (often used adverbially); properly, denoting accompaniment; "amid" (local or causal); modified variously according to the case (genitive association, or accusative succession) with which it is joined; occupying an intermediate position between G575 or G1537 and G1519 or G4314; less intimate than G1722 and less close than G4862):—after(-ward), × that he again, against, among, × and, + follow, hence, hereafter, in, of, (up-)on, + our, ×and setting, since, (un-)to, + together, when, with (+ -out). 3.  “...not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;”
