Jeremiah 9:23

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:

1. “Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom…”

a. Jeremiah 9:24

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.

a. ASV: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he hath understanding, and knoweth me, that I am Jehovah who exerciseth lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith Jehovah.

b. YLT: But -- in this let the boaster boast himself, In understanding and knowing Me, For I am Jehovah, doing kindness, Judgment, and righteousness, in the earth, For in these I have delighted, An affirmation of Jehovah.

Amplified Bible Classic: But let him who glories glory in this: that he understands and knows Me [personally and practically, directly discerning and recognizing My character], that I am the Lord, Who practices loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord.

e. Stone Edition Torah/Prophets/Writings [In the Jewish Translation Jeremiah 9:24 is Jeremiah 9:23]: For only with this may one glorify himself, contemplating and knowing Me, for I am HASHEM Who does kindness, justice and righteousness in the land, for in these is My desire, the word of HASHEM.

1. “But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me…”
