Hebrews 6:20

Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

a. NLT: Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

b. NIV: where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

c. YLT: whither a forerunner for us did enter -- Jesus, after the order of Melchisedek chief priest having become -- to the age.

d. Amplified Bible: Where Jesus has entered in for us [in advance], a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever after the order (with usthe rank) of Melchizedek.

e. Worrell Translation: where, as Forerunner in our behalf, Jesus entered, having become a High Priest forever, according to the rank of Melchizedek

1.  “Whither the forerunner is for us entered…”

b. the forerunner [4274 * propromos] [Strong: from the alternate of 4390; a runner ahead, i.e. scout (figuratively, precursor):--forerunner.]

c. is…entered [1525 * eiserchomai] [Strong: from 1519 and 2064; to enter (literally or figuratively):--X arise, come (in, into), enter in(-to), go in (through).]

d. for [5228 * huper] [Strong: a primary preposition; "over", i.e. (with the genitive case) of place, above, beyond, across, or causal, for the sake of, instead, regarding; with the accusative case superior to, more than:--(+ exceeding, abundantly) above, in (on) behalf of, beyond, by, + very chiefest, concerning, exceeding (above, -ly), for, + very highly, more (than), of, over, on the part of, for sake of, in stead, than, to(-ward), very.
