John 17:9

John 17:9

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

a. NLT: “My prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they belong to you.

b. NIV: I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

c. YLT: 'I ask in regard to them; not in regard to the world do I ask, but in regard to those whom Thou hast given to me, because Thine they are,

d. Amplified Bible Classic:  I am praying for them. I am not praying (requesting) for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they belong to You.

e. Worrell Translation: I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom Thou hast given Me; because they are Thine.

1. “I pray for them: I pray not for the world…”
