Psalm 110:7

He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

1. “He shall drink of the brook in the way…”

a. 2. “…therefore shall he lift up the head.”

1). The phrase “lift up the head” refers in this case to being exalted and after the metaphor of drinking in the victory, exaltation is the next step. 

2). Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

3). Psalm 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
