Biblical chronology of Noah and the world wide flood

Biblical chronology of Noah and the world wide flood, from entering the ark and until leaving.

1). Noah told to enter the ark at age 600, on the 10th day of the second month.

a). Genesis 7:1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

b). In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

c). Genesis 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

d). Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

2). The flood began on the 17th day of the second month when the windos of heaven were opened and the fountains of the great deep were broken up.

a). Genesis 7:11

3). The rain ended on the 27th day of the third month.

a). Genesis 7:12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

4). The flood waters increased until the tops of the mountains were covered by 15 cubits of water. (18 inches per cubit= 22 ½ feet.)

a). Genesis 7:17-20  And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

5). The ark runs aground upon Ararat on the 17th day of the seventh month.

a). Genesis 8:3, 4 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

6). The top of the mountain seen on the 1st day of the 10th month.
a). Genesis 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

7). On the 10th day of the 11th month (40 days after seeing the tops of the mountains) Noah opened the window of the ark and let fly away a raven and a dove. The dove came back but the raven did not. (hmmm???)

a). Genesis 8:6-9 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

b). Bible scholars see in the raven, the believer’s old nature, satisfied with the world under judgment. The dove on the other hand represents the “new man”, that finds satisfaction only in the new creation.

8). On the 17th day of the 11th month, the dove by itself was sent out again.

a). Genesis 8:10, 11 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

9). On the 24th day of the 11th month the dove was sent out again and it did not come back.

a). Genesis 8:12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

10). On the 1st day of the 1st month of the 601st year of Noah, Noah removed the covering of the ark.

a). Genesis 8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

11). On the 27th day of the second month of Noah’s 601st year, Noah and his family leave the ark.

a). Genesis 8:14-16 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
And God spake unto Noah, saying,
Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.

12). Noah and his family were in the ark a total of one year and 17 days which includes the 7 days before the flood began.

a). Genesis 7:1-4 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

b). Genesis 8:13-16  And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
And God spake unto Noah, saying,
Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
