1. “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation…”
a. Blessed [Strong: 3107. makarios mak-ar'-ee-os a prolonged form of the poetical makar (meaning the same); supremely blest; by extension, fortunate, well off:-- blessed, happy(X -ier).]

1). The Scriptural parameters for loving God are clearly laid out in the following passages, the primary one being the First Commandment where it is clearly declared that those who keep God’s Commandments love him and those who do not keep God’s Commandments hate Him.
a). Exodus 20:4-6 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
20:6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
2). Jesus echoed those same sentiments in the gospels.

3). The sum of all this is clear, those who endure temptation, patiently and successfully
resist the temptations become pleasing to God and will because of their faithfulness receive a Crown of Life. Hallelujah!
