in all their glory.
b. NIV: The

1.
“And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it…”
a. and [2532
* kai] [Strong: apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and
sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often
used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and,
also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]
b. the
nations [1484 * ethnos] [Strong: probably from 1486; a race (as of the same
habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually, by
implication, pagan):--Gentile, heathen, nation, people.]
c. of
them which are saved [4982 * sozo][Zodhiates: to save, deliver, make whole,
preserve safe from danger, loss, destruction…Sozo occurs fifty-four times in
the Gospels [fifty-six in the KJV]. Of the instances where sozo is used,
fourteen relate to deliverance from disease or demon possession; in twenty
instances, the inference is to the rescue of physical life from some impending
peril or instant death; the remaining twenty times, the reference is to
spiritual salvation.]
d. shall
walk [4043 * peripateo] [Strong: from 4012 and 3961; to tread all around, i.e.
walk at large (especially as proof of ability); figuratively, to live, deport
oneself, follow (as a companion or votary):--go, be occupied with, walk
(about).]
1). The “saved” are referring to those who are
born again, accepted the sacrifice of Jesus and entered the New Covenant.
a).
Romans 10:9, 10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved.
10:10 For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
2). Only the saved will have access to the
city.
a).
Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that
defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they
which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
b).
Revelation 22:14, 15 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may
have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the
city.
22:15 For
without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
c). At
this point all those who are “without”, those who would not have access to the
city will have already been cast into the lake of fire.
3). The
“light of it” is referring to New Jerusalem and the glory of God and the glory
of the Lamb giving it light to it in the previous verse.
a).
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to
shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.
2.
“…and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.”
a. and [2532
* kai] [Strong: apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and
sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often
used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and,
also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]
b. the
kings [935 * basileus] [Strong: probably from 939 (through the notion of a
foundation of power); a sovereign (abstractly, relatively, or
figuratively):--king.]
c. of the
earth [1093 * ge] [Strong: contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a
region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the
occupants in each application):--country, earth(-ly), ground, land, world.
d. do
bring [5342 * phero] [Strong: a primary verb -- for which other, and apparently
not cognate ones are used in certain tenses only; namely, oio oy'-o; and enegko
en-eng'-ko to "bear" or carry (in a very wide application, literally
and figuratively, as follows):--be, bear, bring (forth), carry, come, + let her
drive, be driven, endure, go on, lay, lead, move, reach, rushing, uphold.]
e. their
[846 * autos] [Strong: from the particle au (perhaps akin to the base of 109
through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self,
used (alone or in the comparative 1438) of the third person , and (with the
proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other,
(mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves,
she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on,
-with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which.]
f. glory [1391
* doxa][Strong: glory (as very apparent), in a wide application (literal or
figurative, objective or subjective):--dignity, glory(-ious), honour, praise,
worship.]
g. and
[2532 * kai] See “and’ above.
h. honour
[5092 * time][Strong: a value, i.e. money paid, or (concretely and
collectively) valuables; by analogy, esteem (especially of the highest degree),
or the dignity itself:--honour, precious, price, some.]
1). “Honour”
here is referring to wealth in the same sense as in a few other Scriptures in
the Old and New Covenants.
a).
Proverbs 3:9, 10 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits
of all thine increase:
3:10 So
shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new
wine.
b). 1
Timothy 5:17, 18 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double
honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.
5:18 For
the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn.
And, The labourer is worthy of hi s reward.
2).
Actually, these passages will be fulfilled after the second coming of Christ
and at the end of the millennial reign and for all time. At the beginning of
the Millennial reign the Kings and leaders of the earth will come to Jerusalem
to bring presents to King Jesus.
a). Isaiah
60:5-7 Then thou shalt
see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because
the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the
Gentiles shall come unto thee.
60:6 The
multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all
they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall
shew forth the praises of the Lord.
60:7 All
the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth
shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and
I will glorify the house of my glory.
3). The
implication is this occurring after the second coming, because of the implicit
mention of those who persecuted Israel coming to worship. For me it implies a
time context of immediately after the second coming.
a). Isaiah
60:9-20 Surely the
isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons
from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy
God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
60:10 And
the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister
unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on
thee.
60:11 Therefore
thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that
men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be
brought.
60:12 For
the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those
nations shall be utterly wasted.
60:13 The
glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box
together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of
my feet glorious.
60:14 The
sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all
they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and
they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
60:15 Whereas
thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make
thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
60:16 Thou
shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings:
and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty
One of Jacob.
60:17 For
brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass,
and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors
righteousness.
60:18 Violence
shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders;
but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
60:19 The
sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon
give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and
thy God thy glory.
60:20 Thy
sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord
shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
i. into
[1519 * eis] [Strong: a primary preposition; to or into (indicating the point
reached or entered), of place, time, or (figuratively) purpose (result, etc.);
also in adverbial phrases:--(abundant-)ly, against, among, as, at, (back-)ward,
before, by, concerning, + continual, + far more exceeding, for (intent,
purpose), fore, + forth, in (among, at, unto, -so much that, -to), to the
