Zechariah 2:10
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

1. “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come…”

When I look at the beginning of this verse, I am reminded of Zechariah 9:9 that says, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee:…” Within that comparison I can’t help but see a division, a difference between “I come” and “I will dwell in the midst of thee”. When Jesus first came as a man to die for our sins, the Scripture says, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion…thy King cometh unto thee…having salvation”. When he comes the second time, well… I’ll save that for the next verse.
2. “...and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.”
a. d. [the] LORD [Strong: 3068 Yᵉhôvâh, yeh-ho-vaw'; from H1961; (the) self-Existent or Eternal; Jeho-vah, Jewish national name of God:—Jehovah, the Lord.] [ The KJV translates Strong's H3068 in the following manner: LORD (6,510x), GOD (4x), JEHOVAH (4x), variant (1x).]
1). This is the LORD speaking first person, and just so there is no misunderstanding, we will look at the Hebrew word for “LORD”. So there is no question about who is speaking here. It is God Almighty.
