Deuteronomy 26:8

And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

1. “And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand…”

2. “...and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness…”

d. terribleness [Strong: 4172 môwrâʼ, mo-raw'; or מֹרָא môrâʼ; or מוֹרָה môwrâhxlit môrâh corrected to môwrâh; (Psalm 9:20), from H3372; fear; by implication, a fearful thing or deed:—dread, (that ought to be) fear(-ed), terribleness, terror.]

1). Israel was delivered out of Egypt by God; he did it through the ten plagues, culminating in the slaying of the firstborn of Egypt by the death angel, while at the same time sparing the first born of Israel by the blood of the Passover lamb.

2). Jesus is our Passover.

a). 1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lumb, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.

3). The crucifixion was done with outstretched arms. In Egypt all the firstborn of Egypt died while on Calvary, God’s firstborn Son died with great terribleness…a stupendous and wonderful deed that is to be feared and reverenced.

3. “...and with signs, and with wonders:”

a. [and with] signs [Strong: 226 ʼôwth, oth; probably from H225 (in the sense of appearing); a signal (literally or figuratively), as a flag, beacon, monument, omen, prodigy, evidence, etc.:—mark, miracle, (en-) sign, token.]

b. [and with] wonders [Strong: 4159 môwphêth, mo-faith'; or מֹפֵת môphêth; from H3302 in the sense of conspicuousness; a miracle; by implication, a token or omen:—miracle, sign, wonder(-ed at).]
