Exodus 14:21, 22

Exodus 14:21, 22

And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

1.”…and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.”

a. They were literally walking through a corridor or hallway of water, standing upright. Another verse in the next chapter gives more information on this hallway.

1). Exodus 15:8 “And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.”

a). congealed [7087 * qapha] [Strongs: to shrink, thicken, curdled milk,…frozen water, congeal.] [Gesenius: congelation]

b). congeal [Webster: to solidify or thicken by cooling or freezing, to thicken; coagulate; jell.]
