Deuteronomy 26:9
And hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

1. “And hath brought us into this place…”
a. e. [with] milk [Strong: 2461 châlâb, khaw-lawb'; from the same as H2459; milk (as the richness of kine):— cheese, milk, sucking.]
f. [and] honey [Strong: 1706 dᵉbash, deb-ash'; from an unused root meaning to be gummy; honey (from its stickiness); by analogy, syrup:—honey(-comb).]
1). This of course is speaking of Israel’s deliverance, but is a type and foreshadow of our deliverance through Jesus Christ.
a). Colossians 1:12, 13 Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
2). As already covered in Deuteronomy 26:1, our inheritance is in Jesus Christ: Ephesians 1:11. Although our inheritance is not a physical land area as in Israel’ case, our inheritance does flow with milk and honey.
a). 1 Peter 2:2, 3 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
2:3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
b). Proverbs 24:13, 14 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
c). Isaiah 55:1, 2 Ho, every one who thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye , buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
