1). Ahijah knew it was Jeroboam's wife because the Spirit of the LORD had told him. This was an operation of the Gifts of the Spirit.
a). 1 Kings 14:5 And the LORD said unto Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam cometh to ask a thing of thee for her son; for he is sick: thus and thus shalt thou say unto her: for it shall be, when she cometh in, that she shall feign herself to be another woman.]
2). Keneth Hagin, Concerning Spiritual Gifts, page 59, 60: The word of knowledge is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning facts in the mind of God, concerning people, places, or things. The word of wisdom is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning the divine purpose in the mind and will of God. The difference between the two gifts--the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom is that the revelation which is the word of knowledge brings is always present tense or something which happened in the past. The word of wisdom always speaks of the future.
3). It appears that this word was a combination of both the word of knowledge and the word of wisdom.
