 Psalm 101:5

Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

1. “Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off…”


a. [Whoso] privily [Strong: 5643 çêther, say'-ther; or (feminine) סִתְרָה çithrâh; (Deuteronomy 32:38), from H5641; a cover (in a good or a bad, a literal or a figurative sense):—backbiting, covering, covert, × disguise(-th), hiding place, privily, protection, secret(-ly, place).] 


b. slandereth [Strong: 3960 lâshan, law-shan'; a primitive root; properly, to lick; but used only as a denominative from H3956; to wag the tongue, i.e. to calumniate:—accuse, slander.]


c. [his] neighbor [Strong: 7453 rêaʻ, ray'-ah; or רֵיעַ rêyaʻ; from H7462; an associate (more or less close):—brother, companion, fellow, friend, husband, lover, neighbour, × (an-) other.]

2. “...him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.”
