But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

1. “But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.”

a. [But when the] cattle [Strong: 6629 tsôʼn, tsone; or צאוֹן tsʼôwn; (Psalm 144:13), from an unused root meaning to migrate; a collective name for a flock (of sheep or goats); also figuratively (of men):—(small) cattle, flock (+ -s), lamb (+ -s), sheep(-cote, -fold, -shearer, -herds).]

b. [were] feeble [Strong: 5848 ʻâṭaph, aw-taf'; a primitive root; to shroud, i.e. clothe (whether transitive or reflexive); hence (from the idea of darkness) to languish:—cover (over), fail, faint, feebler, hide self, be overwhelmed, swoon.]
