Ephesians 5:3

Ephesians 5:3

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named amongst you, as becometh saints;

a. NLT: Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.

b. NIV: But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.

c. YLT: And whoredom, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;

d. Amplified Bible Classic: But immorality (sexual vice) and all impurity [of lustful, rich, wasteful living] or greediness must not even be named among you, as is fitting and proper among saints (God’s consecrated people).

e. Worrell Translation: But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;

f. Wuest Translation: But fornication and uncleanness, every kind of it, or covetousness, let it not be even named among you, just as it is befitting to saints.
