a. Capernaum

Other sources say it means Village of Nahum and tradition says his burial place
is there.
2. “…and straightway on the sabbath day he entered
into the synagogue, and taught.”
a. Jesus
was raised an observant Jew and as such he would have gone to the synagogue on
the Sabbath day.

custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to
read.
