when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils,
but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against
itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself
shall not stand:
12:26 And
if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his
kingdom stand?
12:27 And
if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out?
therefore they shall be your judges.
12:28 But
if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto
you.
b). Luke
4:16-21 And he came to
Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into
the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
4:17 And
there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had
opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
4:18 The
Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel
to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance
to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them
that are bruised,
4:19 To
preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
4:20 And
he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the
eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
4:21 And
he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
c). Acts
10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:

2). That
same authority has been given to the new Testament Church.
a). Mark
16:15-18 And he said
unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16:16 He
that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall
be damned.
16:17 And
these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out
devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
16:18 They
shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt
them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
b). Ephesians
1:15-23 Wherefore I
also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the
saints,
1:16 Cease
not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
1:17 That
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the
spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
1:18 The
eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope
of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the
saints,
1:19 And
what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according
to the working of his mighty power,
1:20 Which
he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own
right hand in the heavenly places,
1:21 Far
above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that
is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
1:22 And
hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things
to the church,
1:23 Which
is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
c). Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to
all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye

d). Philippians
2:9-11 Wherefore God
also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
2:10 That
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth;
2:11 And
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
