1. “I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,”

a. [I] was [Strong: 1096. ginomai ghin'-om-ahee a prolongation and middle voice form of a primary verb; to cause to be ("gen"-erate), i.e. (reflexively) to become (come into being), used with great latitude (literal, figurative, intensive, etc.):--arise, be assembled, be(-come, -fall, -have self), be brought (to pass), (be) come (to pass), continue, be divided, draw, be ended, fall, be finished, follow, be found, be fulfilled, + God forbid, grow, happen, have, be kept, be made, be married, be ordained to be, partake, pass, be performed, be published, require, seem, be showed, X soon as it was, sound, be taken, be turned, use, wax, will, would, be wrought.]

f. Lord’s [Strong: 2960. kuriakos koo-ree-ak-os' from 2962; belonging to the Lord (Jehovah or Jesus):--Lord's.]

g. day [Strong: 2250. hemera hay-mer'-ah feminine (with 5610 implied) of a derivative of hemai (to sit; akin to the base of 1476) meaning tame, i.e. gentle; day, i.e. (literally) the time space between dawn and dark, or the whole 24 hours (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes); figuratively, a period (always defined more or less clearly by the context):--age, + alway, (mid-)day (by day, (-ly)), + for ever, judgment, (day) time, while, years.]

1). Hilton Sutton: Throughout the New Testament, the Lord’s Day is considered the first day of the week, the day on which Jesus arose victorious over death and hell. He had defeated Satan, solved the sin problem an provided complete salvation for the spirits, souls and bodies of all mankind…As taught by the apostle Paul, the Lord’s Day is a part of the New (and better) Covenant. Under the New Covenant, believers began worshiping God on the first day. [1 Corinthians 16:1, 2]

2). Jimmy Swaggert: This may actually mean the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1; John 20:19; Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). It appears clear fro these verses that Christians set apart the first day of the week for worship. It is believed that the church used the word in protest against Caesar worship and used the phrase “the Lords’ Day” in contrast to the phrase “The Augustean Day” which was a day especially dedicated to the honor of Ceasar worship. 

h. and [Strong: 2532. kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

i. heard [Strong: 191. akouo ak-oo'-o a primary verb; to hear (in various senses):--give (in the) audience (of), come (to the ears), (shall) hear(-er, -ken), be noised, be reported, understand.]

j. behind [Strong: 3694. opiso op-is'-o from the same as 3693 with enclitic of direction; to the back, i.e. aback (as adverb or preposition of time or place; or as noun):--after, back(-ward), (+ get) behind, + follow.]

k. me [Strong: 3450. mou moo the simpler form of 1700; of me:--I, me, mine (own), my.]

l. [a] great [Strong: 3173. megas meg'-as (including the prolonged forms, feminine megale, plural megaloi, etc.; compare also 3176, 3187); big (literally or figuratively, in a very wide application):--(+ fear) exceedingly, great(-est), high, large, loud, mighty, + (be) sore (afraid), strong, X to years.]

m. voice [Strong: 5456. phone fo-nay' probably akin to 5316 through the idea of disclosure; a tone (articulate, bestial or artificial); by implication, an address (for any purpose), saying or language:--noise, sound, voice.]

n. as [Strong: 5613. hos hoce probably adverb of comparative from 3739; which how, i.e. in that manner (very variously used, as follows):--about, after (that), (according) as (it had been, it were), as soon (as), even as (like), for, how (greatly), like (as, unto), since, so (that), that, to wit, unto, when(-soever), while, X with all speed.]

o. [of a] trumpet [Strong: 4536. salpigx sal'-pinx perhaps from 4535 (through the idea of quavering or reverberation); a trumpet:--trump(-et).]
