We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.

1. “We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.”

a. We [Strong: 2249 hēmeîs, hay-mice'; nominative plural of G1473; we (only used when emphatic):—us, we (ourselves).]

b. therefore [Strong: 3767 oûn, oon; apparently a primary word; (adverbially) certainly, or (conjunctionally) accordingly:—and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, therefore, verily, wherefore.]

c. ought [Strong: 3784 opheílō, of-i'-lo; probably from the base of G3786 (through the idea of accruing); to owe (pecuniarily); figuratively, to be under obligation (ought, must, should); morally, to fail in duty:—behove, be bound, (be) debt(-or), (be) due(-ty), be guilty (indebted), (must) need(-s), ought, owe, should.]
