For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.

1. “For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible.”


a. For [Strong: 3754 hóti, hot'-ee; neuter of G3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because:—as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why.]
