Jude 17

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

a. NLT: But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said.

1. “But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,”

o. Christ [Strong: 5547 Christos khris-tos' from 5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:--Christ.]

1). Jude in this verse does not include himself among the Apostles, because he was not an Apostle while Paul and Peter do.

a). 1 Corinthians 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

b). 2 Peter 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:

2). The word “apostles” is plural, so that more than one apostle spoke of these circumstances. Peter and Paul both did, see below.
