Romans 6:13
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of
unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are
alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
a. NLT: Do not let any part of
your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves
completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your
whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
b. NIV: Do not offer any part of
yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to
God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of
yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
c. YLT: neither present ye your
members instruments of unrighteousness to the sin, but present yourselves to
God as living out of the dead, and your members instruments of righteousness to
God;
d. Amplified Bible: Do not
continue offering or yielding your bodily members [and faculties] to sin
as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer and yield
yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual]
life, and your bodily members [and faculties] to God, presenting them as
implements of righteousness.
e. Worrell Translation neither
present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present
yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members to God as
instruments of righteouseness.
