2 Samuel 6:16

And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

a. NLT: But as the Ark of the LORD entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she was filled with contempt for him.

b. NIV: As the ark of the LORD was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the LORD, she despised him in her heart.

c. YLT: and it hath come to pass, the ark of Jehovah hath come in to the city of David, and Michal daughter of Saul, hath looked through the window, and seeth king David moving and dancing before Jehovah, and despiseth him in her heart.

1). Thomas Scott Commentary: Saul had neglected the ark and religion, and Michal seems to have had no deep sense of the importance and excellency of heavenly things... David the brave captain, leading forth the people to battle, and returning with them in triumph, she had admired: but David the saint, leading the people in the ordinances of God, and setting them an example of fervency of spirit in his service, she despised in her heart; yet this was by far the most illustrious part of his character.
