And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

1). The death of Abraham was recorded in Genesis 25:8, but Abraham was alive when Isaac got married and up to the age of 15 of Jacob and Esau. Abraham was 100 years older than Isaac (Romans 4:19), so when Isaac was forty, Abraham was 140. The twins were born when Isaac was 60 (Genesis 25:26), so Abraham was 160 and lived until the age of 175 (Genesis 25:7), so Isaac was 75 and the twins were 15.
