Genesis 26:4

Genesis 26:4

And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

1. “And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries…”

2. “...and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;”

d. [of the] earth [Strong: 776 'erets eh'-rets from an unused root probably meaning to be firm; the earth (at large, or partitively a land):--X common, country, earth, field, ground, land, X natins, way, + wilderness, world.]

e. [be] blessed [Strong: 1288 barak baw-rak' a primitive root; to kneel; by implication to bless God (as an act of adoration), and (vice-versa) man (as a benefit); also (by euphemism) to curse (God or the king, as treason):--X abundantly, X altogether, X at all, blaspheme, bless, congratulate, curse, X greatly, X indeed, kneel (down), praise, salute, X still, thank.]

1). Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all walked in the same Covenant with God.

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

2). The world has been blessed because of the Jewish people.

a). Romans 3:1, 2 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

b). Romans 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

c). John 4:19-22 [NLT] “Sir,” the woman said, “you must be a prophet. 20 So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?”
4:21 Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. 
4:22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.
