Genesis 37:3

Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.

c. [of] many colors [Strong: 6446 pac pas from 6461; properly, the palm (of the hand) or sole (of the foot) (Compare 6447); by implication (plural) a long and sleeved tunic (perhaps simply a wide one; from the original sense of the root, i.e. of many breadths):--(divers) colours.]

1). The favoritism that Jacob showed toward Joseph is surely the cause of most of the strife in Jacob’s family.
