1 Timothy 2:12

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

a. ASV: But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.
  
b. YLT: And a woman I do not suffer to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
d. Amplified Bible Classic: I allow no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to remain in quietness and keep silence [in religious assemblies].
1. “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man…”

2. “...but to be in silence.”
