Acts 2:6
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

a. and [Strong: 2532. kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]
b. were confounded [Strong: 4797. sugcheo soong-kheh'-o or sugchuno soong-khoo'-no from 4862 and cheo (to pour) or its alternate; to commingle promiscuously, i.e. (figuratively) to throw (an assembly) into disorder, to perplex (the mind):--confound, confuse, stir up, be in an uproar.]

j. language [Strong: 1258. dialektos dee-al'-ek-tos from 1256; a (mode of) discourse, i.e. "dialect":--language, tongue.]
1). After they were filled with the Holy Ghost this is what the natural eye saw and the natural ear heard: At least 15 different nationalities heard the word spoken in their own language.

2:11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
