1. “From that time…”

1). The Perry Stone Hebraic Prophetic Study Bible: In Western Christian thinking, the word repent often means to say you are wrong or sorry for improper actions or sins. The Greek word for repentis metanoeo, and comes from a compounded of the preposition meta- meaning “after” or implying change, and the verb noeo, meaning “to perceive or think.” The whole compound word means “to think differently after,” or “to change one’s mental perception of mind for a specific purpose.” The New Testament writers’ use of the word (both repent and repentance), have contributed to the thought that repentance leads to a change of both moral and spiritual conduct. For “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). When a person is reproved or convicted of sins through the Holy Spirit (see John 16:8), then “godly sorrow” begins working repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10), meaning that once a person has become sorrowful for their sin and disobedience, repentance is the outcome. Repentance initiates a person’s change of mind through believing the Gospel and his or her choosing to turn to God for cleansing. True repentance results in forgiveness.
