Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?

1). J. Vernon McGee: Jonah apparently has had some time to talk to these sailors, but he hasn’t told them much about himself. He is certainly no witness for God. A man out of the will of God can never be an effective witness for God.
