Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

1). Eli here manifested his perverse judgment. He accused Hannah a godly woman of being a drunk (1 Samuel 1:12-16). He had already been warned by one and probably more men of God of his failings (1 Samuel 2:27-36).
