Exodus 32:2
And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

1). We must put in context that Aaron and his sons and 70 leaders from Israel had seen God and ate a meal with Him five and a half weeks previously. What convinced Aaron to go along with this is unknown.
