No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

1. “No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there…”

2. “...but the redeemed shall walk there:”
a. [but the] redeemed [Strong: 1350 ga'al gaw-al' a primitive root, to redeem (according to the Oriental law of kinship), i.e. to be the next of kin (and as such to buy back a relative's property, marry his widow, etc.):--X in any wise, X at all, avenger, deliver, (do, perform the part of near, next) kinsfolk(-man), purchase, ransom, redeem(-er), revenger.]
b. 1). Scripture speaks of the same highway in other places.
a). Isaiah 19:23-25 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
19:24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
19:25 Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
b). Isaiah 11:16 And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
2). There is a road available now for new Covenant believers in Christ. It is to walk in obedience to his word.
a). Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.
b). Proverbs 10:17 He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
c). Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
d). Matthew 7:13, 14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
