1). The Life of Christ, Gordon Lindsay: Mary not only had deep emotions, but she was a highly intelligent woman. While the apostles heard jesus speak of His coming death and resurrection, their senses were dulled and their stubborn belief in an imminent Messianic kingdom of earthly splendor was incompatible with the prophecy Jesus gave concerning his death.Surely he must be mistaken! But mary had listened attentively to every word that Jesus had spoken, and with her nothing dropped to the ground. She appears as one of the most spiritual sensitive women in the bible. Mary clearly realized that Jesus would not be with them long, and her heart reached out for something that would show her adoration.
2). Mary received the revelation of Christ Jesus soon death. A revelation that no other disciple received.
