1). It is a sad but true fact that in the early years of the New Covenant that most of the opposition to the New Covenant that God established with Israel, but also opened the door of salvation to the Gentiles, most of the opposition has come from Jews. It has arisen from the fact that Israel is in unbelief because of their hard heartedness. This unbelief was warned of by Moses in Deuteronomy 32:21, and confirmed by Paul in Romans 10:19.

2). See also Acts 13:50; 14:2; 14:19; 17:5; 17:13; 18:1-6; 18:12-17; 19:8, 9; 21:27; 24:1-9;

a). What has made matters worse has been the Church’s behavior toward Israel, toward the Jews, God’s chosen people, because of their rejection of Jesus. The last two thousand years are full of examples where the body of Christ has failed miserably to believe Paul’s explicit warning to the church about their behavior toward the Jewish people. We have frustrated the grace of God.
