 Deuteronomy 16:16

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

[of] unleavened bread [Strong: 4682 matstsah mats-tsaw' from 4711 in the sense of greedily devouring for sweetness; properly, sweetness; concretely, sweet (i.e. not soured or bittered with yeast); specifically, an unfermented cake or loaf, or (elliptically) the festival of Passover (because no leaven was then used):--unleaved (bread, cake), without leaven.]


c. [and the] feast [Strong: 2282 chag khag or chag {khawg}; from 2287; a festival, or a victim therefor:--(solemn) feast (day), sacrifice, solemnity.]


d. [of] weeks [Strong: 7620 shabuwa` shaw-boo'-ah or shabuan {shaw-boo'-ah}; also (feminine) shbu.ah {sheb-oo-aw'}; properly, passive participle of 7650 as a denominative of 7651; literal, sevened, i.e. a week (specifically, of years):--seven, week.]

f. [of] tabernacles [Strong: 5521 cukkah sook-kaw' fem of 5520; a hut or lair:--booth, cottage, covert, pavilion, tabernacle, tent.]


1). There is Passover, the next day is Unleavened Bread, two days after Passover is Firstfruits and five weeks later is Pentecost. All four of these were foreshadows of Christ Jesus. 


3. “...and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:”


a. 1). Note in Chumash: Jews must come to celebrate the pilgrimage festival with offerings in honor of the occasion. These should include festive peace offerings, and elevation-offerings to mark the person’s appearance at the Temple, commensurate with the prosperity with which God has blessed him.
