 Luke 6:19 

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

1. “And the whole multitude sought to touch him…”

a. And [Strong: 2532. kai kahee apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.]

b. the [Strong: 3588. [ho] ho ho, including the feminine he hay, and the neuter to to in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.] [Thayer: [ho] ὁ, ἡ, τό, originally τος, τῇ, τό (as is evident from the forms τοι, ται for οἱ, αἱ in Homer and the Ionic writings), corresponds to our definite article the (German der, die, das), which is properly a demonstrative pronoun, which we see in its full force in Homer, and of which we find certain indubitable traces also in all kinds of Greek prose, and hence also in the N. 1). The multitude sought to touch him because of the story of the woman with the issue of blood who reached out in faith and received her healing had spread over the land (Matthew 9:20-22; Matthew 14:34-36). 

2. “...for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.”

a. for [Strong: 3754. hoti hot'-ee neuter of 3748 as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because:--as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why.]

b. there went [Strong: 1831. exerchomai ex-er'-khom-ahee from 1537 and 2064; to issue (literally or figuratively):--come (forth, out), depart (out of), escape, get out, go (abroad, away, forth, out, thence), proceed (forth), spread abroad.]

c. virtue [Strong: 1411. dunamis doo'-nam-is from 1410; force (literally or figuratively); specially, miraculous power (usually by implication, a miracle itself):--ability, abundance, meaning, might(-ily, -y, -y deed), (worker of) miracle(-s), power, strength, violence, mighty (wonderful) work.]

d. out of [him] [Strong: 3844. para par-ah' a primary preposition; properly, near; i.e. (with genitive case) from beside (literally or figuratively), (with dative case) at (or in) the vicinity of (objectively or subjectively), (with accusative case) to the proximity with (local (especially beyond or opposed to) or causal (on account of):--above, against, among, at, before, by, contrary to, X friend, from, + give (such things as they), + that (she) had, X his, in, more than, nigh unto, (out) of, past, save, side...by, in the sight of, than, (there-)fore, with. In compounds it retains the same variety of application.]

f. healed [Strong: 2390. iaomai ee-ah'-om-ahee middle voice of apparently a primary verb; to cure (literally or figuratively):--heal, make whole.]

g. [them] all [Strong: 3956. pas pas including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole:--all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.]

1). The same power of God that healed the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9:20-22 and the multitudes in Matthew 14:34-36, healed these who reached out in faith for healing, and the same power flowed out of jesus and healed them all.

a). Mark 5:25-34 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

5:26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

5:27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

5:29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

 

2). World Outreach Church: 2/17/15 During Jesus’ ministry, people who wanted their lives changed came to hear Him and be healed. Verse 19 reveals what happened when they came: “For there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.” You see, the virtue, or power, of God flowed out of Jesus to heal the multitude when the people operated in faith. And when did they operate in faith? After they heard the Word. Once the people heard, their faith rose up and released the healing power in Jesus. But the power didn’t flow out of Him until after the people heard His teaching and drew on it by faith. If you need healing in your body, you can draw on Jesus’ miracle-working power with your faith. However, the first step is to hear what the Word of God says. You must hear it and hear it with your physical ears until you can hear it with your spiritual ears. As the healing virtue flowed out of Jesus then, it still flows out of Him today—activated by faith.
