T.] [Additional variants: tē, hoi, oi, tēn,ta, tēs,tois, tō, tōn, hé hē, hai.]

e. [of] the [Strong: 3588. [tou] ὁ ho ho, including the feminine he hay, and the neuter to to in all their inflections; the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.] [Thayer: [tou] ὁ, ἡ, τό, originally τος, τῇ, τό (as is evident from the forms τοι, ται for οἱ, αἱ in Homer and the Ionic writings), corresponds to our definite article the (German der, die, das), which is properly a demonstrative pronoun, which we see in its full force in Homer, and of which we find certain indubitable traces also in all kinds of Greek prose, and hence also in the N. g. [was] come [Strong: 2064. erchomai er'-khom-ahee middle voice of a primary verb (used only in the present and imperfect tenses, the others being supplied by a kindred (middle voice) eleuthomai el-yoo'-thom-ahee, or (active) eltho el'-tho, which do not otherwise occur) to come or go (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively):--accompany, appear, bring, come, enter, fall out, go, grow, X light, X next, pass, resort, be set.]
1). Perry Stone Hebraic Study Bible: The phrase “fulness of time” is unique. The Greek word for fulness is pleroma and refers to something being fulfilled. Paul mentions the “fullness of time” on two occasions; one refers to the timing of Christ’s birth and the other the timing of Christ’s return. Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,”; Ephesians 1:10 “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” In the third reference, when Paul writes about the Gentiles’ being grafted into the covenant, he reveals: Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” The “fullness of time” is the peak moment in the process of prophecy when a predicted event occurs. Usually, as we move forward in the timeline of history, we see identification markers called “signs,” which begin to occur and point to the greater predicted event to follow. Sometimes the actual fulfillment (timing) of a season of fullness is revealed, and at other times it remains secret.
