Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

1. “Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;”

a. Persecuted [Strong: 1377 diṓkō, dee-o'-ko; a prolonged (and causative) form of a primary verb δίω díō (to flee; compare the base of G1169 and G1249); to pursue (literally or figuratively); by implication, to persecute:—ensue, follow (after), given to, (suffer) persecute(-ion), press forward.]

b. but [Strong: 235 allá, al-lah'; neuter plural of G243; properly, other things, i.e. (adverbially) contrariwise (in many relations):—and, but (even), howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless, no, notwithstanding, save, therefore, yea, yet.]

c. not [Strong: 3956 ou, oo; a primary word; the absolute negative (compare G3361) adverb; no or not:—+ long, nay, neither, never, no (X man), none, (can-)not, + nothing, + special, un(-worthy), when, + without, + yet but.]

d. forsaken [Strong: 1459 enkataleípō, eng-kat-al-i'-po; from G1722 and G2641; to leave behind in some place, i.e. (in a good sense) let remain over, or (in a bad sense) to desert:—forsake, leave.]

e. cast down [Strong: 2598 katabállō, kat-ab-al'-lo; from G2596 and G906; to throw down:—cast down, lay.]
